Fadia Moustarah has a Bachelor of Sciences in Occupational Therapy from the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine in addition to a Bachelor of Sciences degree with a major in biological sciences and minor in sociology at the University of Alberta.
Her strong foundation in biological sciences along with her extensive knowledge of child psychology and the importance of family and community allows her to approach treatment sessions with a comprehensive and compassionate understanding of your child’s needs. She is energetic, well informed, and enthusiastic with a special connection to children of all ages.
Ms. Moustarah has over 17 years of experience in pediatrics working in transdisciplinary environments, consulting to educators for the Edmonton Public School Board as well as private practice supporting parents and building their capacity to help their children achieve developmental milestones. She has collaborated with many other health care professionals such as speech language pathologists, physical therapists, pediatricians, psychologists and as a result provides thorough assessments and intervention programs. She is well versed in a variety of assessment tools some of which include PDMS, MVPT, VMI, SIPT and sensory profile.
She believes families are an integral component in their child’s successful development. Her dedication and passion to assist families in supporting their children to reach their highest potential is the basis to founding Moustarah Milestones.
Outside of Occupational Therapy, Ms. Moustarah enjoys strength training, skating, hiking, and kayaking. When she is not travelling, she is busy learning about the best eatery in the city. She frequents the theatre and opera, and never forgets the quality time spent reading a great book.
